1. Your Sylfirm X experience begins with a personalized consultation. One of our expert aesthetic providers at Lucienne will evaluate your skin concerns, goals and medical history to determine if Sylfirm X is right for you. We’ll discuss the expected outcomes of treatment plans and answer any questions you may have.
2. On the day of your treatment, you’ll relax in one of our spa-like treatment rooms while we cleanse your skin and apply a soothing numbing cream to ensure comfort. As the cream takes effect, the machine is set to your customized treatment settings, such as needle depth, energy intensity, and pulse, and is put into the Sylfirm X device.
3. Next, the Sylfirm X handpiece will be glided over your treatment areas. You may feel gentle pressure and warmth as the hair-thin needles and RF energy penetrate your skin, but most patients report little to no discomfort. Treatment typically takes less than one hour, depending on the size of the area and your specific protocol.
4. Immediately after your session, we’ll apply a cooling mask or oxygen therapy to calm your skin. You may appear flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, but this subsides quickly. Return to your typical daily activities immediately, with no downtime required.
5. In the following days and weeks, your skin will become smoother, firmer and more radiant as new collagen forms. We recommend returning for a series of treatments spaced about one month apart. With each session, you’ll see your skin concerns fade, and your complexion becomes clearer, brighter and more youthful-looking.

What to Expect During Treatment

Compared to similar devices, Sylfirm X allows for a faster and more comfortable microneedling experience. The entire procedure can take less than 40 minutes to complete, but this may vary depending on your concerns and goals. Your provider will review your personalized treatment plan and adjust the device’s settings before proceeding.

During treatment, one of our aesthetic experts will use a handheld microneedling pen to penetrate the skin at a precise depth. At the same time, continuous wave or pulsed wave RF energy will be delivered directly into the dermal tissues, increasing the body’s wound healing response and stimulating collagen production. It also has the added benefit of remodeling existing collagen, tightening the skin and breaking down texture problems. You may feel warmth and discomfort as the device works to improve your complexion, but a numbing cream will be applied for a pain-free experience.

Afterward, you’ll be able to resume your normal activities with no recovery or downtime. Results will be immediately apparent and continue to develop as collagen production increases in the weeks following your treatment.

Sylfirm X Results & Recovery

You may experience temporary redness and swelling after your Sylfirm X treatment. This is normal and should subside within the next 24 hours. Your skin may also feel tighter and more sensitive than usual, but an ice pack can be used to calm treated areas. While there are no restrictions or specific aftercare protocols to follow, it’s recommended that you use gentle cleansers and avoid exfoliating for the next few days. The microscopic punctures that stimulate collagen production also make your skin more vulnerable to UV damage, so it’s important to keep treated areas protected with a high SPF sunscreen.

Most patients notice an immediate difference in their skin’s tone and texture immediately after treatment, but more dramatic results will develop as collagen production continues to climb.
